Astrology combines the Greek words “Astron” (meaning star) and “Logia” (meaning study or account). It refers to the study of stars and planets, which are celestial bodies believed to influence living and non-living things on Earth.

Why celestial bodies?

Life on this planet predominantly depends on the celestial bodies, the Sun and the Moon. As civilization began, humans revered them as gods. Without the Sun, life on Earth would not exist. Before the invention of compasses, GPS, and modern navigation systems, people relied solely on the Sun, Moon, and stars to navigate their way.

For instance, in Ancient Egypt, The Sun was worshipped as the god Ra, one of the most important deities. The Pharaoh Akhenaten even tried to shift the religion to focus almost exclusively on the worship of Aten, the Sun disk.

Similarly, in Ancient Greece and Rome, The Greeks worshipped Helios and Apollo as Sun gods, while the Romans revered Sol. Similarly, Selene and Artemis (Greek) and Luna (Roman) were goddesses of the Moon.

Furthermore, Polynesian Navigation, used the stars, Sun, and Moon for navigation across the vast Pacific Ocean. They relied on celestial navigation to travel between islands over great distances.

In addition, Ancient Mariners from ancient Greece, Rome, and Phoenicia used the Sun and stars to navigate the Mediterranean Sea. The North Star, Polaris, was particularly important for determining latitude.

Moreover, Vikings used a combination of the Sun, stars, and landmarks for navigation during their sea voyages. They also used tools like the sunstone to locate the Sun on cloudy days.

Influence of Stars and Cosmic Phenomena

The answer is as clear as day: the Sun, our very own star within the solar system, is solely responsible for sustaining life on Earth. But what about the other stars? Do they really have an impact on us? Recently, physicists have begun exploring the influence of cosmic rays. These high-energy particles travel through space and collide with the Earth’s atmosphere, potentially affecting us in ways we are just beginning to understand.

The Kamioka Observatory, part of Japan’s Institute for Cosmic Ray Research (ICRR), is renowned for its pivotal experiments like Super-Kamiokande and KAGRA. Super-Kamiokande has provided crucial evidence for neutrino oscillations, revealing that neutrinos have mass, and has advanced our understanding of cosmic rays and solar and atmospheric neutrinos. KAGRA, a gravitational wave detector, contributes to the study of cosmic events such as black hole mergers. These findings significantly enhance our knowledge of fundamental particles and cosmic phenomena, impacting fields like particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology.

Astrology: Beyond the Scope of Science

While science is able to answer most of the questions humanity has, it fails to answer some of the questions like.

  • What is the purpose of life?
  • What is life?
  • Questions about free will
  • Existence of God
  • Why people have subjective experiences?
  • Origin of moral values
  • Why some people are more successful?

Astrology begins where science ends; it can explain some of these questions. As someone who values scientific validation, we seek scientific answers for everything. However, many things are beyond the scope of science and require a spiritual dimension and a deeper understanding of the universe.

A Notable Astrological Prediction

On October 4th 2023, a young budding astrologer Abhigya Anand from Mysore, India, uploaded a video on Youtube. “What may happen between October and November? Astrological Predictions for the World| Abhigya Anand”. The description of video goes like this.

“Danger is lurking around the corner as eerily similar positions to 9/11 come about. Abhigya explains why the World needs to be careful and which are the potential areas where both human violence and natural disasters may strike. Violence is very much likely to take place, including terrorism.

He predicts upcoming events that will change geopolitical situations and cause widespread harm, detailing the reasons and regions where these will occur. Three days later, a deadly attack by Hamas militants in Israel results in significant casualties and global repercussions.

This young man from Mysore, India, about 5000 kilometers from Israel, is neither a spy, a geopolitical analyst, nor affiliated with any involved parties. However, he accurately predicted these events based on the positions of stars and planets. This phenomenon suggests that there are realities beyond scientific understanding. While it may seem superstitious, it also holds truths that the scientific community should acknowledge.

Global Roots of Astrology

Each region had its own system of astrology for predicting the events based on celestial phenomena

Interestingly, most of the systems when applied correctly will lead to the same concussion.
